    I just made one yesterday without checking any tutorials and im surprised at how similar mine ended up being! I used parchment paper though, and I'm thinking it might lose some of that crinkle sound with time, so I like your idea of cereal bag better. I think mine ended up very thin and hard to grab for a small baby, so I came to see if you used any filling. Apparently not. I will make sure to put a teething ring in the next one. I hope wooden ones are fine? I'll make sure to stitch a cross over the surface too. Ps if you don't have ribbons you can also make your own ones using fabric pieces.

    I finally got the pattern enlarged to 150%. Took me many tries. My question is what size would you cut the lining fabric now that the purse will be bigger? I am challenged in the math department. And I've never made a purse before but know a little lady that would be thrilled to get this purse. Thank you.

    • @Needlepointers
      @Needlepointers 11 днів тому

      Hi. I'm not really sure why the pattern calls for cutting out the rectangles first, maybe to make it easier to cut around the pattern pieces. The size of the lining is the same as the main fabrics. So, I would just use the enlarged pattern pieces and cut out the fabrics. If you want to cut out rectangles first, the rectangles are cut a little larger than the pattern pieces. Have fun making the purse!

      Usually your pattern will say to turn the work around and then maybe chain 1 and then start to single crochet back across the row. The chain 1 doesn't count as a stitch unless the pattern states otherwise. If you want to share what your pattern says, I can try to help. Happy Stitching!

    • @Needlepointers
      @Needlepointers Місяць тому

      Cotton Fabric from a local quilt store is usually higher quality than from Joann, Hobby Lobby, etc. I don't pre-wash already cut fabrics because they may fray and become distorted. Some people pre-wash all of their quilt fabric. Others will only wash if it has strong colors like red/black that are prone to bleed or if they come from stores that don't have as high quality fabric. We have another video with advice about pre-washing, ua-cam.com/video/yRTAyHezJrQ/v-deo.html. Happy Quilting!
